Early Years Practitioner – Lunch Cover
Bristol (BS32)
20–25 hours per week (lunchtime hours)
Up to £13.85 per hour (doe) + benefits
We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join our friendly team in Bristol BS32 area as a Lunch Cover Practitioner. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting and inspiring young children, encouraging their curiosity, and helping them thrive every day in a nurturing environment.
What you’ll be doing:
- Promote high standards of quality across the nursery
- Support and supervise playroom staff in their day-to-day duties
- Ensure staff are effectively deployed to maintain ratios and quality care
- Implement the key person system, allocating children appropriately
- Ensure practice meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- Provide professional and meaningful feedback to parents and carers
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Promote the nursery to current and prospective parents
- Foster a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all
What we’re looking for:
- Level 2 qualification in Childcare (or above) – essential
- Previous experience working in an early years setting
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s development
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
